Description:
Antique English pewter broad rim charger of 18.25in diameter, by Thomas Dickinson of St. Sepulchre, London; who worked 1665 - 1671.
The charger has a full set of hallmarks to the front rim along with the marriage triad 'B over IS'. There is a touchmark to the reverse rim.
Provenance:
A Bartram collection.
Auction:
Bonhams Chester 7th May 2008, lot 409.
Condition:
The charger is in good condition with a lightly cleaned finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is un-cleaned.
Repairs: There is possibly an old repair to the rim that can be seen in the images.
Size: 18.25 inch diameter (46.40cm).
Rim - 3.75in (9.00cm). 39%.
