Description:
Antique English pewter dish with a multiple reeded cast rim, of 17.375 inch diameter, by John Whitaker of London, England, who worked from 1676. There is a marriage triad 'P over IS' to the front rim along with a clear set of hall marks. The reverse rim has two partial touch marks.
This is a very well made dish with a very good cast rim.
Condition:
The dish is in excellent condition with a lightly polished finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is unpolished with some oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs that could be detected.
Size: 17.375 inch diameter (44.00cm).
