Description

Description:
A 1 pint Imperial measure of plain bucket shape with a D handle standing on a flared foot. The measure has a verification mark and Pint label stamped to the right of the handle. The inside of the base has the mark of W R Loftus of 321 Oxford Street, London. The base is inscribed with the following: Lord High Admiral, Church Street. The front of the measure also bears the initials FR.
The Lord High Admiral public House was in Church Street, Lisson Grove, London. It was built in 1841 and rebuilt in 1960.
It is recorded that in 1891 - 1895 Frederick Ritchie was the publican.
Verification marks:
Cr VR 349 London County.
Condition:
Excellent condition with a polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect.

Height to top rim: 4.875 in (12.30cm).
Base diameter: 3.50in (12.3cm).
Capacity: 20.00floz, 1 pint Imperial.
Weight: 587 grams.
