Description
Description:Antique English pewter multiple reeded plate of 8.50 inch diameter with four diamond shaped 'fleur-de-lys' hallmarks to the front rim along with the marriage triad 'IWA'. The reverse has a faint touchmark which merits further study; along with an old collectors label.
The hallmarks are attributed to an unknown maker 'TM' but the Worshipful Company: History and Catalogue, 1968, p22, item 49, suggests these could be the marks of Robert Moulins II.
Condition:
The plate is in excellent condition with a very lightly polished finish to the front, with some small traces of oxide. The reverse is also lightly polished with some light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs.
Size: 8.50 inch diameter (21.60cm).
